Why are we so slow to change the way we teach?

An article that highlights the fact that there are many aspects of teaching (lecturing, course design, approaches to testing, homework, and grading) at higher education level that have known no or little change despite this global move towards asserting that the learner is to be at the centre of the teaching activity if this latter is to be successful.
